5.5.10.

Hey guys, just thought I'd go ahead and get a blog up here.

Well, today in class Dr. B showed us how to do all of the needed calculations.

In conclusion, lab is due tomorrow as is the homework from the text book; remember to get it all done.

*NOTE* - on your lab, be sure to show calculations, sig figs, and label your work for clearer understanding; you can never use too much partial credit. Put the pre-lab and post-lab questions INTO your Lab Notebook as well.

Well, have a good night guys.

  1. Don't forget that in the lab, moles of base=moles of acid, and that to get the moles of vinegar you use the formula:
    moles=(Molarity NaOH)*(Volume NaOH)
    Molarity Acetic Acid in Venegar:
    Moles Vinegar/Liters Vinegar
    don't forget you recorded Milliliters Vinegar, so you have to conver

  6. Thank you Colby for putting this up, I need some more blogs. Remember to round to 3 sig figs on your caluclations for most accurate measurements

  7. Make sure you copy down the pre- and post-lab assignments into your lab report, Dr. B won't accept it on the print out sheets

    also, make sure you show all the calculations for the tables

  8. dont forget that you must use liters, not mililiters in all your calculations

  9. make sure you use the molecular weight of KHP that is listed in the lab, rather than the one given in the book
